General Position Summary:The Application CoordinatorAssociate(ACA)participatesin the development and design of the application(s) for which the ACAis responsible andis required togain an in-depth knowledge of the assigned Epic module(s).

Demonstrates basic knowledge of computer systemsapplicationsand interfacesasacquiredthrough adegreeprogramin Business Administration Information Technology Computer Engineering or Clinical studies.

  1. Exhibits ability to gather theappropriate dataand devise and designsimplesystems solutions touserissues and problems.

  1. Demonstratesabilityto devise simple benchmarking metrics to assess system performance.

  1. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the clinical or business operations functions.

  1. Demonstrates attention to detail in data gatheringspecificationsdevelopment and documentation and record keeping.

  1. Communicates effectively withuserscolleaguesand developers.

  1. Demonstrates basic degree of analytical skill.

  1. Works under direct supervision in support of team initiatives.

Analysis and Design:

  1. Employs data gathering techniques designed todetermineand define specificsystemsinformation requirements andobjectivesfor maintenance or output requests.

  1. Designs and formulates computer system requirementsforbasicclinical andbusiness problem solutions and communicates clearly defined specs tousers and programming staff.

  1. Identifiesanalyzesand resolvesbasicdata and system issues.

  1. Communicates specifications for programming/build staffanddocuments system modifications in existing applications.

Application Configuration/Development:

Works with theappropriate subjectmatter expertsand other project team members in design build and validation sessions.

  1. Performsbasicsecurityadministration and user provisioning activities.

Testing andImplementation Skills:

Assistwith full system testing and go-live planning.

  1. Participates in the developmentvalidationand execution of comprehensive implementation and test plans.

System Support:

Support application during and after live process.

  1. Performs routine operational support defined in departmental operating procedures which include error log management batch process oversight maintenance activities performance monitoring and system configuration.

  1. Follows departmental change control standards andreportschanges toappropriate personnel.

  1. Performs 24/7 on call support if applicable.

Communication/Project Management:


  1. Reports project issues and systemperformance issues toManager.

  1. Frequently provides status reports to project managers.

Required Job Qualifications: Education:Baccalaureate degreein Business Administration Information Technology Computer Engineering or Clinical studies.A GPA of3.5 or better.

Certifications:Required to complete and pass certificationinassigned Epicapplication module(s) within120 daysof employment in this role.

Experience:Workexperiencein a professional environmentas obtained through an internship or fellowshipprogram.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

Knowledge ofclinicaland/or healthcare businessinformation systemsin alarge and complexhealthcare organizationas obtained through the candidates field of study.

  • Knowledge of the current healthcare environmentas obtained through the candidates course of study ispreferred.

Ability to handle analysis design systemconfigurationand testing tasks atabasiclevelof complexity

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principlesasobtained through the candidates field of study

Salary Range: Minimum 27.51/hour - Maximum 48.14/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
