Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for an OF3 to serve asSO2 Risk Analysiswithin the Integrated Warfare Centre Northwood on ADC/VTOD Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 1 Apr 26 (Subject to formal establishment and candidate status)

Up to 180 RSDs per year are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.

Unit Function:

The Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) ensures the current joint force is prepared to succeed against likely adversaries through optimisation adaptation and warfare development supporting UK and NATO joint commanders.

Position Role:

An exciting new opportunity for a suitably experienced OF3 to provide advice as the Risk Subject Matter Expert within the Joint Battlespace Management and Combat Identification (JBM&CID) team.

SO2 Risk Analysis forms part of the JBM&CID Team delivering Warfare Development (WarDev) under the Joint Force Development and Integration (JFDI) pillar within the IWC. JBM&CID is a critical seam that requires iterative WARDEV in order to ensure the integrated force succeeds in a sovereign and NATO context. SO2 Risk Analysis primary role is to identify and analyse issues and risks within the JBM&CID function as well as other lines of operation within the JFDI pillar. SO2 Risk Analysis will work closely with military civilian and NATO organisations to enhance interoperability and ensure the UK is ready to operate as part of a NATO force. Responsibilities:

  • Identify analyse and exploit issues and risks within the JBM&CID function and across other lines of operation within the JFDI pillar.
  • Collaborate with military civilian and NATO organisations to enhance interoperability and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain issue/risk registers as required highlighting changes that require action.
  • Represent IWC within CSOC and externally as a SME in JBM&CID risk where required and support staffing for senior engagements.
  • Advise the Integrated Force of issues/risks during planning and execution of deployments.
