Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and growing engineering business based in Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of regulated and high-growth sectors including pharmaceutical food & beverage and the emerging EV battery market.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems equipment and components for regulated manufacturing environments.
Produce detailed 3D models assemblies and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
Design equipment with a strong focus on hygiene safety compliance and manufacturability.
Work closely with project manufacturing and client teams to deliver bespoke engineering solutions.
Support prototyping testing installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation BOMs and revision control.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is strongly preferred.
Experience designing equipment for pharmaceutical or food & beverage industries is advantageous.
Interest or exposure to EV battery manufacturing or clean energy markets is beneficial.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles materials and manufacturing processes.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
