Minimum Requirements:
Are you an experienced machine operator with a strong commitment to safety and quality Nucor Buildings Group West is looking for a skilled Flange Machine Operator to join our this role you will operate stationary machinery to fabricate and splice flanges perform welding tasks and ensure top-notch qulaity and durability. You will play a crucial part in maintaining efficient workflows while upholding the highest safety standards.

Basic Job Functions:
- Welding Steel Structural Parts: Perform welding of steel structural components according to the
specifications outlined in shop drawings. - Team Collaboration: Collaborating in a team environment with a welding partner to weld components that
are assembled by the fitters. - Machine Operation: Operate stationary machinery to assemble and splice flanges. Utilized equipment like
cranes transfer systems and magnetic drills to support part fabrication and welding processes. - Visual Inspections:Conduct full visual inspections of welded parts to ensure all welds are applied correctly
and meet quality standards. - Effective Communication: Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to address safety quality
and efficiency concerns ensuring a smooth workflow and successful project completion.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate theability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience in machine operation
- Able to pass a GMAW Weld Test
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a solid understanding of welding principles
- Ability to conduct thorough visual inspections of welded parts for quality and compliance.
- Willingness to work a 3rd shift schedule (typical schedule10pm-6am)

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months experience operating grinders cranes transfers and magnetic drills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
- Competent in with measuring tools.
- Current welding certifications
- Welding degree from an accredited technical college or equivalent experience in welding
