IT Support Technician (SMB Managed Service Provider) Description
Our client in managed IT and web services is looking for an IT Support Technician to add to their team in Florence KY. You will resolve escalated tickets administer Microsoft 365 and support servers networks and end users across small-to-mid-sized business clients. Success in this role means you own issues end-to-end keep users productive and lean on documentation resources and teammates to close unfamiliar problems quickly. IT Support Technician (SMB Managed Service Provider) Responsibilities
Assist Tier 1 ticket queue during peak backlogs
Own Tier 2 tickets from escalation to resolution
Support users via phone email and screen share
Administer Microsoft 365 users groups and licenses
Work in Entra ID Exchange Teams SharePoint portals
Resolve AD user and group access issues
Perform Windows OS troubleshooting and file restores
Support server environments; escalate deep issues
Assist with virtual server and website hosting tasks
Support VPN connectivity and basic network issues
Investigate security alerts; escalate per procedure
Liaise with vendors on app-specific issues
IT Support Technician (SMB Managed Service Provider) Qualifications
2 years IT support/troubleshooting experience required
Experience in one or more areas below required:
o Microsoft ecosystem: Windows OS admin M365 business apps and/or Active Directory
o Networking & remote access: VPN support for remote users; knowledge of DNS
o Infrastructure: servers virtualization and web hosting exposure
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills required
