Job Summary

Title: VP of Human Resources

In this newly created role as the VP of HR you will report to the CEO and work closely with the President and Chief Operations Officer. The Human Resource Executive will act as our culture visionary. Someone who is open to adding to their already accomplished past. Do you enjoy motivating others add to an already thriving culture and work to align seven departments and their C and VP Level leaders.

Areas that will preside over include Talent Acquisition Onboarding HRIS Automation Enhancing Communication Performance Management Learning & Development Policies & Benefits Culture Employee Relations & State Compliance.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a strategic partner with executives and enjoy being in trenches with staff as you will be communicating with Warehouse and Operations teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to synthesize & interpret insights from various analytics tools to influence decision making and provide proactive creative solutions to business leaders
  • Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the business in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Review compensation plans to ensure competitiveness with our companys salary bonuses & incentive plans in comparison with market changes or changes in job responsibilities of current team members.
  • Develop edit and update Employee Handbook as needed to capture policies latest rules and regulations and communicate with legal to ensure that employee handbook adheres to current labor practices.
  • Evaluate current benefits programs and makes recommendations for annual benefits review. Works with TPA to resolve issues related to premium bills COBRA issues claims coverage issues. Responds to questions related to 401(k) plan provisions
  • Manages and provides guidance to your HR team including Human Resources Director HR Specialist Talent Acquisition Director and HR Coordinator
  • Identify and execute on HR strategic initiatives and processes that enhance the employee experience
  • Work closely with subject-matter-expert partners to provide guidance and recommendations around labor standards employment law compensation L&OD benefits etc.
  • Collaborate with leaders to create comprehensive succession and people plans to positively influence engagement diversity and inclusion efforts and retention around the world
  • Drive people engagement strategies that foster an environment where all employees are respected and valued
  • Benefit oversight including carrier renewals plan administration employee materials and communications
  • Assess organizational performance identify talent gaps and propose HR solutions that support the business
  • Translate near and long-term operating goals into HR processes projects and assignments and integrates and initiates the work with key stakeholders and functional partners to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered to support business strategies

    What have you Done:

  • Comfortable working with C Level
  • Having worked in hospitality food & beverage or multi site retail environment.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence manufacturing leadership.
  • A creative thinker with alternative solutions and the ability to recommend best-fit solutions in alignment with business goals.
  • 10 years relevant HR experience including recruiting employee relations and organizational development with prior experience managing a human resources team within a fast paced public ever changing or tech landscape.
  • Understands how to lead change within dynamic environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects that cut across multiple business units teams and HR partners from inception through completion
