PalmPay is a fast-growing fintech company headquartered in Shenzhen China empowering financial inclusion across emerging markets. Our Philippines HR team plays a strategic role in building a high-performance compliant and culturally resonant talent ecosystem supporting both local operations and regional expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Execution- Design implement and continuously benchmark competitive equitable and market-aligned salary structures for Philippine roles (including allowances incentives and variable pay) aligned with PalmPays global comp philosophy and local regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct annual salary reviews manage merit/incentive cycles and support budgeting for total rewards (base bonus benefits).
- Partner with Finance and Country Leadership to ensure payroll accuracy timeliness and statutory compliance (BIR SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG DOLE).
Benefits Management & Employee Experience- Administer end-to-end local benefits programs: health insurance (HMO) life/disability coverage retirement plans wellness initiatives and flexible benefits (e.g. meal/transport allowances remote work stipends).
- Drive employee engagement through clear benefits communication onboarding sessions and responsive support (e.g. claims assistance policy clarifications).
- Evaluate and negotiate with local HMO providers insurers and benefit vendors to optimize value and coverage.
Compliance Analytics & Process Excellence- Ensure 100% adherence to Philippine labor laws (e.g. Wage Orders 13th-month pay separation pay calculations) and data privacy (NDPR). Maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Generate actionable C&B reports (e.g. cost-per-hire by level turnover cost analysis benefits utilization rates) to inform leadership decisions.
- Streamline processes via HRIS (e.g. BambooHR Workday or local platforms) configure compensation modules automate workflows and train HR team members.
Strategic Partnership- Advise hiring managers on offer structuring internal equity and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with Global HR on cross-border policies (e.g. expat packages tax equalization) and regional C&B harmonization.
- Support employer branding through compelling C&B narratives in recruitment and internal comms.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelors degree in HR Business Finance or related field; *Masters or CCP/GRB certification (e.g. PHRi*ve HR experience with at least 3 years focused on Compensation & Benefits in the Philippines preferably within fintech tech or multinational environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor regulations taxation (BIR Form 2316) social security systems (SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG) and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
- Proven experience with HRIS implementation compensation modeling tools (e.g. Excel advanced Power BI) and benefits vendor management.
- Strong analytical negotiation and stakeholder management skills able to translate complex data into business insights.
- Fluent English (written & verbal); Tagalog proficiency is a strong advantage.
