Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.
Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic neurological sensory cancer recovery etc.) develop treatment plans and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams document thoroughly and provide positive motivating care to a high volume of patients.
To be successful in this role you must be flexible adaptable exceptionally organized and a personable motivating team player.
- Performs thorough evaluations on patients with basic injuries illnesses and dysfunctions.
- Demonstrates critical thinking clinical reasoning and problem solving skills throughout the evaluation.
- Streamlines subjective and objective portions of evaluations appropriately according to patients diagnosis and acuity.
- Utilizes standardized and non-standardized tests current evaluation techniques and methods for all patient populations.
- Analyzes results of tests in order to determine OT diagnosis goals and establish reimbursable cost effective treatment plan.
- Determines functional prognosis and duration of treatment based on diagnoses and evaluation finding.
Job Requirements
- Occupational Therapist: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire (must be through the American Heart Association)
Preferred
- Acute care Rehab SNF or OP experience
