Job Summary:

The Reman Build Technician is responsible for repairing and rebuilding pallets to company specifications in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong attention to detail physical stamina and the ability to consistently meet production standards while working independently or alongside a partner. Your work directly supports operational efficiency safety and quality standards.

What Youll Be Doing

• Repair and rebuild pallets by following written pallet design instructions and quality standards
• Work independently or with a partner to complete daily production goals
• Meet or exceed minimum pallet production expectations
• Perform pallet construction and repair involving strenuous manual labor
• Use hand tools pneumatic tools nail guns and power tools safely and efficiently
• Adjust nail gun placement quickly and precisely to ensure accurate assembly
• Identify pallet types and grades and distinguish between usable and unusable boards
• Lift stack and stage finished pallets according to production requirements
• Stamp repaired pallets with assigned employee identification number
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work area throughout the shift
• Thoroughly clean and reset the work area at the end of each shift
• Follow all safety policies procedures and equipment guidelines

What Were Looking For:

• Previous experience in pallet repair woodworking construction or a similar hands-on role (preferred)
• Strong understanding of safe tool and equipment operation
• Knowledge of operating and maintaining a variety of saws (preferred)
• Ability to work with high-powered equipment in a fast-paced production-driven environment
• Proven ability to meet or exceed daily production goals and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and imperfections in pallets
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience will be considered in place of formal education
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards
• Ability to work independently or cooperatively with a partner

Physical Requirements

This position is physically demanding and requires:

• Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift
• Repetitive use of hammers nail guns hand-held tools pneumatic and power tools
• Ability to lift push pull or carry materials using proper body mechanics
• Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and over 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to lift and stack a minimum of 275 pallets per day stacking 1520 pallets high
• Strong core and lower back strength to support repetitive lifting without fatigue

Other Physical Requirements

• Vision: Requires adequate near vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision and depth perception to safely perform job duties identify pallet defects operate tools read labels and recognize workplace hazards.
• Sense of Sound: Ability to hear horns alarms machinery and verbal instructions in a potentially noisy warehouse environment.
• Sense of Touch: Ability to use hands and fingers effectively to handle tools fasteners materials and equipment with precision and control.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to consistently wear required PPE including steel-toe shoes safety glasses and gloves throughout the workday.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily work in a manufacturing or production environment. This may include exposure to wood dust sawdust moderate to high noise levels and varying temperatures. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
