POSITION SUMMARY:

The position will be responsible for real-time threat detection response and continuous improvement of security operations. This role involves monitoring multiple security platforms conducting proactive threat hunting exercises and collaborating across teams to ensure a strong cybersecurity posture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats across endpoints networks and cloud environments.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze security events using SIEM EDR MDR and DLP platforms.
  • Collaborate with other SOC Team members cybersecurity analysts other members of IT staff and end users to resolve incidents.
  • Respond to alerts perform triage and escalate cases as needed.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities and incident investigations to maintain our cybersecurity posture.
  • Prepare security reports and metrics assist with cybersecurity projects and engage in exercises with the Information Security Team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • In office - will consider Fort Collins or Denver Colorado

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure: endpoints networking email identity and cloud services.
  • Practical knowledge of common attack vectors and security frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in problem solving troubleshooting documenting and reporting.
  • Passionate about cybersecurity and committed to continuous learning.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience in working in a SOC or other cybersecurity role.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security CySA or GSEC.

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $25 to $35 per hour.
