We are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Specialty (ophthalmology and oncology) team. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care collaboration and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Specialty (ophthalmology and oncology) team. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care collaboration and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.

Essential Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of pharmaceuticals medical conditions and procedures commonly utilizeddiagnosed or performed within the veterinary industry
- Intensive treatment and patient care per DVM instructions
- Patient care (phlebotomy IVC placement medication administration nursing tasks)
- Induce maintain monitor and recover patients from general anesthesia
- Monitor general anesthesia for varying risk classifications
- All technical skills should be at the highest level of competency
- Ability to process and run in-house labs and help prepare specimens for outside reference labs
- Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires lifting (up to 50lbs)
Required Qualifications
- CVT license active in Oregon or eligible for transfer
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician
- Minimum 1 year of ER / ICU or Specialty experience
- Ability to work with or around sick animals potentially hazardous materials cleaningchemicals gas anesthetics zoonotic diseases and unpleasant odors
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with Smartflow/Ezyvet
- Strong analytical critical thinking judgement and problem-solving skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with oncology and or ophthalmology practices a bonus!
