The WW Equipment Engineering Innovation team is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented engineer to lead the initiative of developing and delivering current and next generation equipment for our world-class delivery stations. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end equipment development work with vendor across the world to increase vendors design and manufacturing capability and drive internal and external equipment quality control mechanisms.



Were looking for a technical leader that will help us build the supplier quality foundation ensuring vendors deliver high-quality production-ready equipment. They will optimize our global supplier quality management program and build manufacturing excellence design and implement scalable Quality Assurance/ Quality Control solutions in collaboration with Product Development Sourcing and other cross-functional teams. You thrive in a highly collaborative analytical creative and fast-paced environment. You have a strong inclination to get things done and deliver scalable results at speed.



To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design WW Tech SME Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large complex initiatives and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on the medium and long term incremental and radical innovation of process infrastructure equipment and standards for launch and legacy delivery stations. Key job responsibilities
-Act as the primary technical interface with regards to Quality & Manufacturing between suppliers and internal teams shaping quality processes for future growth.

-Be customer-obsessed and ensure satisfaction with deployed equipment solutions over the product lifecycle.

-Help develop the initial quality management system for AMZL equipment to monitor field performance ongoing production supplier performance and overall quality metrics.

-Create documentation for equipment solutions such as quality specifications for manufacturing processes CTQs FAIR assembly instructions and equipment design standards etc.

-Build large-scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS Planning Launch Procurement Finance HR external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget)

-Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on -business needs

- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- 5 years of Design/Innovation research & development manufacturing process industrial engineering or related experience
- Experience with end-to-end ownership of major project deliverables
- Knowledge of Quality systems and Manufacturing operations across industries. (CPG CE Automotive Aerospace).
- NPI experience working with cross functional stakeholders and external vendors/suppliers/CMs following one of the following methodologies: NPI NPD Systems Engineering V-Frame PPAP FAIR
- Experience supporting product fleet and field quality levering data to identify trends drive retrofits and repairs predict issues and drive preventative action at the factory and supplier level

- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
- Comfort working on 0-1 products with developing supply chains and new vendors.
- Experience working with JDM OEMs CM and overseas partners to develop products.
- Experience with supplier selection process production transfer site transfer or green site development.
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen Lean Manufacturing TQM Six Sigma
- Experience in the following manufacturing fabrication: metal forming plastic molding welding stamping extrusion fabric stitching and general assembly testing and packaging.
- Testing / Validation Experience support mechanical validation efforts by reviewing supplier test plans and results (e.g. fatigue lifecycle vibration) and aligning quality requirements with test outcomes.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
