Job Summary
Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking a practical and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team on a Part-Time basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in a similar position who can confidently turn their hand to a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will support the day-to-day operation of the hotel by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring our guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces remain safe functional and well-presented.
In this role you will:
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel
- Complete daily plant rounds and identify any equipment that appears faulty or requires repair
- Carry out maintenance on equipment and water reticulation systems to ensure reliability and operational efficiency
- Ensure all tools and equipment are used maintained and stored correctly
- Liaise with relevant departments regarding works in guest rooms and public areas ensuring out-of-order spaces are returned to service promptly
- Accurately record all maintenance tasks (completed and outstanding) including repairs and preventative maintenance schedules
Qualifications :
Successful candidates will:
- Previous experience in a similar role/hotel environment and a qualification in trade is preferred
- Be self-motivated and able to work well unsupervised
- Be able to prioritise tasks and follow specified procedures
- Have the ability to work a variety of shifts across the week
- Experience in operating a variety of equipment including small hand tools
