Job Summary

Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Program Mission Support Engineering & Analysis and Training.

Responsibilities

  • Design analyze and develop electrical and electronic systems for submarines including navigation communications photonics and tactical control systems.
  • Lead and support laboratory and shipboard testing of electrical systems to verify performance against specifications identify defects and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and analyze shipboard power systems conduct load analysis phase balancing and ensure fault tolerance and redundancy.
  • Prepare technical reports schematics and documentation in accordance with military industry and company standards (MIL-SPECs IEEE EMI/EMC etc.).
  • Support design development and testing of advanced submarine electronic on ships power distribution phase balancing and integrated electronic subsystems

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 1 years of professional experience in design development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
  • Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
  • Able to climb vertical ladders (20 25) within the submarine.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $65700.00/Yr. - USD $109700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
