Industrial Maintenance Technician II (Food Manufacturing)

About the Role
Are you a problem-solver who takes pride in keeping complex machinery running at peak performance We are looking for a skilledMaintenance Technician IIto join our team in Bowling this role you will be the backbone of our operations driving reliability through the troubleshooting repair and proactive maintenance of high-speed production and facility equipment.
You wont just be fixing machines; you will be optimizing them. From mechanical and electrical systems (up to 480 VAC) to controls and fabrication you will apply your technical expertise to support evolving production needs. If you value safety quality and continuous improvement we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Repair:Diagnose and repair complex breakdowns in mechanical systems conveyance pneumatics and liquid transfer systems.
Electrical & Controls:Troubleshoot electrical distribution systems (480 VAC and lower) device components and control systems. Execute component replacements efficiently to minimize downtime.
Preventive Maintenance (PM):Execute scheduled PMs during production and non-production hours to extend equipment lifespan and reliability.
Fabrication & Modification:Perform welding fabrication and pipefitting to install or modify equipment for process improvements.
System Operations:Utilize SAP to create/confirm work orders assign parts and track labor hours accurately.
Safety & Compliance:Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety policies (Hills policies). Actively speak up regarding unsafe situations and maintain a high standard of shop sanitation.
Mentorship:Act as a technical resource for improvement teams and provide mentorship/training to operation technicians and junior maintenance staff.
Material Handling:Operate tow motors (forklifts) and perform rigging as required for equipment movement.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
3 years of experience in aFood Gradeindustrial maintenance settingOR
5 years of experience in general industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Testing:Must earn a passing score on the designated Mechanical or Electrical SMT Test.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting electrical systems (up to 480V) welding and fabrication.
Soft Skills:Strong communication skills for shift handovers and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Demands & Working EnvironmentTo ensure the safety of our team candidates must be able to meet the following physical requirements:
Physical:Constant bending climbing crawling in confined spaces and working at heights up to 300 ft.
Lifting:Continual lifting of up to 50 lbs; lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Environment:Willingness to work in varying conditions including extreme heat/cold humidity and atmospheric changes.
Hazardous Conditions:Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and in hazardous spaces.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $36.00 - $37.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year).
