Position Summary:

To maintain accurate and timely data entry of all additions and/or revision for the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and Contract Repository. This position involves the maintenance of the Purchasing and Contract Management databases in Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

Integrity

  • Assists Corporate Revenue Processes and Charge Master Analyst to recognize identify and solve in problems associated with the data entry process flow.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all data entry tools and process flows for proper data entry.
  • Works collaboratively with Corporate Materials Management staffs to ensure and maintain data integrity between upstream and downstream systems.
  • Does not promote or participate in solicitation during working hours within the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the Corporate Revenue Processes and Charge Master Analyst.
  • Supports models and adheres to the desired behaviors of the KBOS constitution and Covenant Health for integrity which are; hold others accountable for living the values and behaviors protect confidential information deal with difficult issues honestly directly respectfully and tell the truth.

Quality

  • Collect manual and automated data from multiple sources to be processed in the system.
  • Work with facility revenue generating departments facility medical staff offices Nursing Service personnel Business Office personnel and Information Systems personnel to ensure that the data collected is valid reliable and timely.
  • Maintain and/or update the charge master and physician table files: add/change any table file data including but not limited to charge description revenue code CPT4/HCPCS code physician name physician address and phone number NPI etc.
  • Seek direction and guidance for non-routine matters pertaining to the data entry process.
  • Supports models and adheres to the desired behaviors of the KBOS Constitution for quality which are; celebrate and reward successes seek out better ways to do our job set improvement goals and standards striving to meet or exceed them participate in forming and being part of work teams when necessary and do not say Its not my job.

Serving the Customer

  • Communicates effectively with facility revenue generating departments facility medical staff offices Nursing Service personnel Business Office personnel and Information Systems personnel using verbal nonverbal and written communication skills.
  • Consults and works collaboratively with Corporate Revenue Processes and Charge Master Analyst co-workers information systems and other hospital personnel effectively performing tasks of position.
  • Provide friendly customer service to all users of the system by answering questions and responding in a quick manner.
  • Supports models and adheres to the desired behaviors of the KBOS Constitution and Covenant Health for service which are; take ownership for our mistakes resolve customer problems on the spot whenever possible treat all people with respect and kindness strive to meet or exceed customer expectations collect and use customer feedback/data to improve processes and service and set an example for accountability and responsiveness: return e-mail and phone calls promptly assure deadlines are met keep commitments.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years health care related experience preferred. Good computer skills and knowledge of software applications required. Working knowledge in finance and related office skills preferred. Must be knowledgeable and competent in use of PCs Windows spreadsheet applications (Excel) and word processing (MS Word) software. Must have good public relation skills.
