Job Summary
The Safe Nest Donation Driver will be responsible for the pick-up of merchandise from donors safely stacking the donation in the truck offloading donations at Savers and ensuring that the processing is accurate from Savers personnel. As the Driver you will be familiarized with the policies procedures and goals of Safe Nest. You will advocate most professionally while exceeding customer expectations both internally and externally.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Pick up donated goods from residential corporate & commercial customers.
  • Load & unload merchandise to/from delivery trucks.
  • Operate & maneuver warehouse equipment including pallet jacks forklifts & hand trucks.
  • Maintain and document maintenance of vehicles & other equipment.
  • Observe safety guidelines & wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain driver log & perform pretrip/posttrip inspections.
  • Correctly fill out & provide donation receipts.
  • Ensure Savers paperwork is correct and verified at every offload
  • Adhere to Savers policy and procedures while offloading
  • Maintain positive and upbeat demeanor while in the presence of donors and Savers Thrift stores.
  • Maintain quality service by following organizational standards policies & procedures.
  • Provide excellent service to donors.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Driver Supervisor and/or Donation Center Director.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate required vehicles safely.
  • Must be dependable reliable responsible & detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the general public politely and courteously.
  • Teamwork coordination organization planning time management interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally & in writing.
  • Must have or be willing & able to obtain forklift certification.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid Nevada drivers license & 3 yrs or more clean DMV record.
  • Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
  • Must clear background screening and drug test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 yrs previous driving experience with 16 box truck or similar.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • This position may require physical demands requiring good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects (minimum of 60lbs) of varying shapes sizes and weights repeatedly over long periods.
  • Must be able to continuously and repeatedly reach above and below shoulder stoop kneel balance bend twist the body turn the body walk and stand use fingering/fine dexterity wrist motion flex wrist grasp/squeeze handling/gross dexterity feel use hand-eye coordination use foot-hand-eye coordination hear talk use a ladder lift carry push or pull a minimum of 60 lbs.
  • Near vision midrange vision far vision depth perception color vision and field of peripheral vision is continuously used.
  • Continuously required environmental conditions: outdoors dust exposure to weather extreme cold extreme heat loud noises mist moving mechanical parts toxic/caustic chemicals fumes or airborne particles vibration wet/humidity/rain and high precarious places.
