The Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is seeking expressions of interest from motivated and experienced staff for the role of Senior Advisor Grants. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strengthening governance transparency and best-practice administration across the departments diverse range of grant programs.

In this role you will provide advice and support across the Department on issues relating to the grants lifecycle ensuring transparent consistent and high-quality administration. You will provide expert advice reporting and insights to senior executives and committees contribute to the development and continuous improvement of grants frameworks policies procedures and build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams delivery partners and external stakeholders. You will also lead and support initiatives that enhance capability across the department including the use of grants management systems developing tools guidance and resources that promote best-practice grants management and drive improved outcomes for the communities we serve.

What you will bring to the role:

Experience supporting or overseeing grants funding programs governance frameworks or complex compliance processes including an understanding of the Grants Administration Guidelines
You are someone who thrives in a complex environment and brings strong analytical governance and stakeholder engagement capability.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information identify issues and make evidence-based recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing reports briefings or committee papers
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence decisions in a constructive way
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
A commitment to integrity transparency and public sector values
