Position Title: APS3 Contact Centre Agent
Employment Type: Labour hire contract (approx 6 months with the potential to extend)
Location: Adelaide SA
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.38 $51.76 per hour plus 12% superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity is available for a Contact Centre Agent to join a Federal Government agency based in Adelaide. You will be responsible for responding to phone and written enquiries from consumers and businesses assisting them to understand their rights and obligations and supporting the use of an independent energy comparison website. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role suited to someone with strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage inbound phone and written enquiries from consumers and businesses
Provide clear accurate information regarding rights obligations policies and procedures
Assist users in navigating and understanding an online comparison platform
Interpret enquiries in line with relevant legislation and guidelines
Identify and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive matters
Maintain accurate records of interactions in internal systems

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a contact centre or customer service environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and apply legislation policies and procedures
High attention to detail and sound judgement
Ability to manage competing priorities in a structured environment
Professional empathetic and solutions-focused approach

ELIGIBILITY

Australian Citizenship is required
