Job Summary

Step into a hands-on leadership role at the heart of our horticulture operation in Alstonville Northern NSW.

This is a blue-collar leadership role - not a desk job. Youll lead people manage machinery and keep a high-throughput facility running safely efficiently and on plan during peak harvest periods.

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Macadamia Dehusking Operations Coordinator:

  • Leads day-to-day operations of the dehusking facility.
  • Oversees safe efficient and reliable throughput.
  • Supports Leading Hands and teams with clear direction and timely escalation.
  • Manages labour workflow equipment customer requirements quality and compliance.
  • Owns operational performance aligned to monthly and annual budgets.

A day in the life of the Operations Coordinator

  • Turn seasonal plans into clear daily and weekly priorities.
  • Coordinate receival processing storage and dispatch.
  • Manage throughput bottlenecks and changing harvest or weather conditions.
  • Act as the main contact for growers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor productivity downtime yields and cost drivers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support end-of-season maintenance delivery.
  • Coach and Build team capability with a focus on succession and continuity.

About you skills and experience that will make you stand out

  • Experience leading people in manufacturing processing horticulture logistics or other relevant operational leadership environments.
  • Experience driving outcomes; operational KPIs productivity measures and cost awareness .
  • Strong practical leadership skills in fast-paced physical environments.
  • Sound judgement clear communication and confidence holding standards.
  • Working knowledge of WHS and compliance in an operational setting.
  • Relevant qualification (Cert III/IV Diploma) or equivalent hands-on experience.
