Business Controller, North America

Join B&O in this new Business Controller position working as part of a collaborative team that supports our Americas Region. Being a vital link between local markets and Group functions you will support the local Sales & Marketing organization on finance-related matters as well as overseeing the budgeting and forecasting for one of Bang & Olufsens key growth markets.

Key responsibilities

• Reliable and accurate budgeting and forecasting within the respective area of support.
• Prepare budget and forecasts in close collaboration with the local Sales & Marketing organizations - follow up on forecasts and ensure the appropriate gap analysis.
• Supporting best possible allocation of marketing and other resources in the local markets and business areas
• Oversee monthly follow up on revenue margins costs and investments.
• Support Global Accounting team with month-end closing.
• Be local support on procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes in collaboration with the Global Business Services team
• Develop business cases for new initiatives (store openings or takeovers campaigns etc.)
• Prepare ad hoc in-depth financial analysis for markets and management.
• Identify gaps in existing tools and processes to optimize inside- and outside EMEA and facilitate the improvement of these areas

What you bring

We are primarily seeking someone with the financial tool-box and experience as a Business Controller. Additionally this person needs to be a comprehensive communicator able to translate financial data to a wide range of stakeholders internationally.

Moreover you bring:

• More than 5 years of experience within Business Controlling Financial Controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis
• Experience of controlling within Sales & Marketing Retail or Luxury
• Comprehensive communication skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders with varying degrees of financial knowledge
• Highly collaborative proactively working with colleagues across various functions and cultural backgrounds.
• Flexible and responsive able to navigate ambiguity.
• Fluency in English is a mandatory.
• . or . degree in economics finance or a related field
• IT skills working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and PowerBI. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage but is not a prerequisite for the position.

What we offer

You will be one of a team of 2 Business Controllers in the US and 4 Business Controllers in Europe. You will have dual reporting lines reporting both to local Market Director for East Coast US & Canada (based in NYC) as well as reporting to the Head of Finance & Commercial Operations EMEA and Americas (Based in Denmark). The team supports the regional Sales & Marketing teams as finance business partners as well as with various tasks that support and improve the day-to-day operations within the EMEA and Americas regions.

Compensation: $105000 - $125000 per year

Pension/401(k): Eligible for enrolment and participation in the Companys 401(k). The Company matches Employees contributions up to a maximum of 6% after 6 months of employment.
Insurances: Medical Dental Vision Life Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) Short-term and long-term disability insurance. Employee contributes a percentage towards monthly premiums which are subject to changes from year to year.
Holiday: 4 weeks paid vacation per year (20 days). 6 paid sick days per year
Company discount: Up to 65% on specific products active after 3 months of employment

Location: New York City (Manhattan) NY.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Travel: Approx. 5%
