Job Summary
The Donor Advisor II (DA2) cultivates a portfolio of about 150 donors with major gift capacity for all Hope Media Group brands. The DA2 plans and implements Individual Development Plans (IDPs) with each portfolio donor. IDPs include matching donors passions and interests with brands projects and initiatives at Hope Media Group. They will support donor communications and impact reporting; gift solicitations with individual donors foundations and corporations all while nurturing a life of generosity in each donor. The DA2 is attentive to donors spiritual needs. The DA2 prays with donors as needed.
Essential Functions
Portfolio Stewardship:
- Engages shepherds and solicits a portfolio of qualified major donors in support of all Hope Media Group brands and programs
- Creates annual Individual Development Plans to cultivate portfolio donors and integrating moves management strategies to upgrade gifts and eventually motivate transformational giving
- Builds and stewards relationships with portfolio donors
- Identifies cultivates and solicits prospective planned giving and endowment donors
- Creates maintains and updates complete donor data in CRM
- Engages with donors with in person visits phone calls handwritten notes personal emails and texts to identify specific donor HMG brand interest(s) and to build connection to other HMG brands
- Promptly and professionally responds to and resolves donor requests and inquiries
- Provides ongoing spiritual care to portfolio including praying with donors on phone calls and in-person as appropriate
- Works with Chief of Donor Engagement Senior Vice President of Donor Engagement and leadership team members to coordinate meetings with major donors
- Seeks and creates opportunities to deepen donor experiences with Hope Media Group brands
- Inspires donors during experiences such as tours of Hope Media Group campus and studios
- Attends events such as breakfasts galas sports competitions rodeos vision trips and pre-concert dinners to engage with donors as needed (requires early mornings some evenings and some weekends.)
Demonstrated Faith
- Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ spiritually grounded and biblically literate
- Comfortable Praying for coworkers in team meetings leading spoken prayer and participating in ministry prayer meetings and bible studies.
- Live by the Christian principles as defined by the ministry Statement of Faith
- Participate in pledge drives and pray for donors as needed
- Passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship
- Exhibits strong moral character
- Active member of a Bible believing local church
Non-Essential Functions:
- Other responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of HMG
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors Degree preferred but not required if has customer service experience
Experience :
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in development/fundraising for non-profit organizations
- Demonstrated success in securing major gifts
- Knowledge of local or regional environments a plus but not required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of the major gift fundraising process principles methods and practices including prospect research; and the ability to develop successful donor relationships through cultivation and stewardship
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategy
- Prioritizes and task-switches with a fluctuating workload and competing priorities
- Organizes and manages time with frequent interruptions
- Attention to detail regarding writing data entry and numerical accuracy with a focus on data integrity
- Listens and quickly picks up on verbal/tonal cues
- Clearly communicates both verbally and in writing with constituents and corporate partners by telephone letter e-mail and in person
- Takes initiative works independently and collaborates with team members
- Shows initiative and consistently hungers for continuous improvement
- Discerns and elicits the interests and concerns of others meeting needs and discovering ways to improve engagement with donors
- Natural ability to quickly build rapport and trust with ministry stakeholders
- Able to process analytically and think strategically regarding managing a portfolio of donors and upgrading gifts.
- Skilled at positioning a funding offer and making the ask
- Demonstrates strong moral ethical and relational skills
- Desires and shows willingness to pray for others
- Sound understanding of the theology of fundraising and fundraising ethics
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word Excel & Teams. Ability to be trained on CRM
