Job Summary
Were seeking an innovative UX Designer to join us in expanding Alexas capabilities that help people lead healthier more fulfilling this role youll work with a blend of visual and voice interfaces to help customers access the information and services they need to be at their besttransforming technology used at home and on the go into intuitive personal experiences.
Key job responsibilities
In this role youll participate in the end-to-end design process for complex features and product. Youll develop early-stage concepts that help stakeholders and leaders deeply understand the customer experience while collaborating with engineers throughout the design process.
Youll routinely partner with designers across Alexa to both adopt and extend existing design systems. As you develop new patterns and uncover best practices youll contribute to Figma libraries and share what youve learned with your peers.
You will also be responsible for incorporating insights from relevant Alexa research conducting hallway testing and participating in user research to inform and validate your decisions.
Along the way youll partner with peer designers product and tech owners marketing solutions architects and business development to be sure the customer remains at the center of our decision-making. This role will provide opportunities to expand your skills practice growing your influence and delivering best-in-class experiences for both businesses and end customers.
A day in the life
In this role youll design net-new concepts that make life more enjoyable for our customers dream up new ways of solving long-standing problems and partner with solutions architects tech teams and business development to refine our product offerings and secure new commitments from our business partners. One week you might run user research to test how customers interpret and respond to the experience youre designing while another week you might partner with a solutions architect to build a working prototype for a conversational experience. No matter what youll operate with enough autonomy to grow and challenge yourself while being supported by a collaborative design team.

The Alexa Enterprise charter is to build and enable indispensable frustration-free Alexa experiences for enterprises worldwide starting with digital entertainment hotels and hospitality aging and healthcare. We build a portfolio of B2B2C software-as-a-service (SAAS) products that empower developers and enterprise companies to support their staff and delight their customers with Alexa. We also provide ready-made solutions that let device makers bring Alexa to their products with our Alexa Built-In program.

- 7 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
