The Tricker Lab at the University of South Florida will be having an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focused on the mechanocatalytic degradation of PFAS. A successful candidate will work at the intersection of reaction engineering catalysis and materials characterization to understand how mechanically driven processes generate reactive species and drive defluorination.
Funding is anticipated for two years with a potential start date as early as April 2026. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Chemistry Environmental Engineering or a closely related field by their start date. Experience in PFAS degradation chemistries PFAS analytics and materials characterization is strongly preferred. Evidence of success in team research and in mentorship will be viewed favorably.
