Website: seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Product team. This role involves designing and implementing server-side logic ensuring application scalability and security and maintaining our technology stack including Java SQL Springboot and more.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for web technologies a strong background in relational databases and experience in a modern software development environment. Youll work in a dynamic agile team environment developing features that impact users in the Canadian market.
Desirables
- BE Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 06 to 08 years of programming in Core Java and with the Spring Framework
- Good knowledge of object-oriented design data structures algorithms and SQL.
- Experience working with Hibernate Jenkins Maven and CI/CD pipelines
- Well-versed in Test-Driven Development
- Strong hold on system design and architecture and demonstrated experience in developing things from scratch
- Participate in all agile rituals including daily stand-ups iteration planning story huddles retrospectives and creation of burn-up charts. Ensure that all work is captured in Jira.
- Supports and develops software developers by providing advice coaching and educational opportunities
- Excited about working in a growth-stage startup learning and solving problems without being constrained by current knowledge or experience.
- Experience building operationally critical services especially in eCommerce.
- Responsible for mentoring a team of 4-6 Junior engineers
- Required to work with the development team in Canada (as per business needs)
