Job Summary
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for collecting analyzing and interpreting complex data for the MGH Neuroscience Institute and sets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.Essential Functions:
- Collect clean and transform large and complex data sets from various sources for analysis.
- Partner with aligned senior leaders to determine and plan for data analytics/reporting needs of a business unit or functional area(s).
- Mentor and train other data analysts.
- Identify trends correlations and anomalies in data and provide explanations or recommendations based on findings.
- Create clear concise and visually compelling data visualizations dashboards and reports.
- Present complex data and analytical findings in a meaningful and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Performs comprehensive quality assurance ensuring that data and reports meet end-user specifications and are accurate and reliable.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- Experience in data analysis 5-7 years required.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases SQL data visualization and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate complex workflows and data to a variety of audiences.
- Project management skills and/or experience are a plus.
- Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including variance analysis preferred.
- Healthcare knowledge particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data is preferred but not required.
