What youll build

The ABAP Infrastructure Platforms team is expanding its global Operations footprint to Bangalore and is seeking an Associate DevOps Engineer to join the this role you will work closely with experienced engineers across India the USA and Germany to ensure the stability performance and operational excellence of SAPs ABAP Cloud systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience with enterprisescale cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.

As an ABAP Environment Operations Engineer you will play a key part in supporting the daytoday operations of ABAP Cloud systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Monitor ABAP Cloud systems to ensure availability performance and overall health using standard tools and dashboards.

Execute incident management activities by following established runbooks processes and escalation guidelines.

Assist senior engineers during incident investigation rootcause analysis and resolution.

Participate in scheduled upgrades patching and routine lifecycle management tasks.

Support tenant provisioning deprovisioning and basic recovery activities.

Maintain highquality operational documentation adhering to defined standards and best practices.

Contribute to automation initiatives by maintaining or improving existing scripts and tools.

Collaborate with crossfunctional development and operations teams to support deployments and ensure operational readiness.

Participate in shift rotations including US shift schedules to support 24x7 global operations.

What youll bring

24 years of experience in operations DevOps cloud support or a similar technical function.

Good understanding of system monitoring troubleshooting and incident management.

Exposure to scripting and automation tools like Python Shell Jenkins etc.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana

Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP) and containerization concepts

Eagerness to learn SAP BTP ABAP Environment cloud operations and DevOps methodologies.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global teams.

A continuous learning mindset and adherence to structured processes.
