Job Summary
This is a paid internship range of $22/hr - $39/hr (depending on role and qualifications) for those currently pursuing undergraduate degrees and higher rates for those currently pursuing graduate level degrees.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
Sound Transit has an exciting Cost Management Specialist internship available for the summer of 2026! This position may be eligible for remote or hybrid options. This is a greatâopportunity for currently enrolledâundergraduate or graduate students who want to observe and participate in real world application of their current field of study with a focus on cost management. Students from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cost Estimating Database Development
- Historical Archiving and Analysis
- SharePoint Dashboard Creation & Support
- Support Educational Materials Development
POTENTIAL PROJECTS:
- Power BI
- Commodity Analysis
- Scheduling Integration
- Building Information Modeling (BIM) Integration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must becurrent college students in good academic standing enrolled in an accredited associate bachelors or graduate degree program inArchitecture EngineeringorConstruction Management or relevant two-year certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a standard office environment.
- Subject to standing walking bending reaching stooping and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds; may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery when visiting job sites during construction and when working in the field.
