Role description:

For our Project Management Team Technology in the Places Business Unit we are looking for a dedicated (Senior) Project Manager BESS (f/m/d) to support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and substations.

The position is located within our global Places business unit. Together with our customers around the world we create promote and optimize intelligent safe and sustainable places where people live work learn and succeed. People and communities thrive when their living working recreational and play spaces are designed and operated to best meet their needs.

Role accountabilities:

As a Project Manager you will coordinate and manage all permitting construction application and grid connection processes for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and substations. You will ensure timely and compliant fulfillment of all regulatory requirements and support project development from application submission through grid connection compatibility.

• Manage and coordinate permitting and construction application procedures for BESS and substation projects.
• Liaise with authorities grid operators and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and technical requirements.
• Oversee grid connection conditions and accompany grid connection compatibility assessments.
• Monitor the entire process from application submission to approval and grid connection clearance.
• Support the preparation of application documents technical reports and compliance evidence.
• Collaborate closely with project developers planners and technical departments to integrate permitting requirements into project planning.
• Document and report on the status of permitting and grid connection activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

You are technically skilled have relevant experience in managing building and infrastructure projects and bring with you:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Electrical Energy Technology Civil Engineering) or related discipline.
• Some professional experience in permitting grid connections or construction applications preferably in BESS substations or energy infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of relevant legal frameworks standards and technical requirements in grid connection and permitting.
• Experience working with authorities and grid operators and understanding of grid connection processes.
• Structured independent working style with strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of specialized software is a plus.
• Good written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
