Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Location:Denver Office
Level 1 (Entry level up to 2 years of direct experience): 26.70 per hour
Level II (3 years of direct experience): 31.40 per hour
Bilingual premium for qualifying languages is 3.5% higher than starting salary if pass bilingual exam on first week of hire.

Position Summary:ThePurchasing Agentsources procures and manages the acquisition of goods and services for an organization focusing on balancing cost quality and timely delivery by evaluating suppliers negotiating contracts analyzing prices and maintaining strong vendor relationships while also handling purchase orders tracking shipments and ensuring compliance. Key duties involve researching products negotiating terms managing inventory and ensuring smooth supply chain operations to support company needs position will also manage company credit cards and approve monthly credit card expense reports.
This is a non-supervisory position.
Essential Job Functions:
Sourcing & Evaluation: Researching and identifying potential suppliers evaluating their products pricing quality and reliability.Negotiation: Analyzing price proposals negotiating contracts and securing the best possible deals for goods and services.Procurement: Preparing and issuing purchase orders confirming deliveries and managing vendor interactions.Cost & Quality Control: Conducting cost analyses reviewing financial reports and ensuring purchased items meet quality standards.Relationship Management: Building and maintaining long-term positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate purchasing records tracking shipments and preparing reports.Market Awareness: Staying informed about industry trends new products and market be able to work in a diverse setting with diverse populations including persons living with HIV the LGBTQ community persons of various ethnic backgrounds disenfranchised communities. Participation in training related to HIV substance use harm reduction trauma informed care and related issues. Cultural Competency/Sensitivity.

Qualifications:
One year of related experience is required. Solid experience coordinating accounting activities including accounts payable and receivable general ledger payroll government grants and indirect expense allocations.Strong negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal abilities. High level of organization attention to detail and time management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software. Understanding of supply chain processes and financial data.Willingness and ability to work well with diverse populations including persons living with HIV the LGBTQ community persons of various ethnic backgrounds disenfranchised communities. Experience with HIV/AIDS preferred. Experience working in a non-profit organization is highly desired.
Education:
A Bachelors degree in business accounting or a related field and/or five or more years experience with accounts receivable accounts payable and general ledger operations. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an entry-level Buyer and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Software Utilized:
Experience working with basic office and database computer programs includingfamiliarity with Microsoft Outlook Word Excel Access SharePoint and the internet.
Knowledge Skill and Ability:
Excellent communication client relations and management skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. This position requires personal and professional accountability; self-management and initiative; dedication to quality improvement professional integrity and research ethics and cultural competency. Must demonstrate accuracy efficiency and excellent organizational skills.Must have excellent negotiation skills analytical skills judgment and decision-making skills.Meticulous attention to detail and a capacity to multi-task. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Must demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas: task management; teamwork; time management; and communication with teams managers clients and company consultants.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Works with standard office equipment including computer work station printers copiers scanners and fax machine. Experience with SAGE 100 software highly desired. Communicates with clients and vendors using the telephone e-mail the Internet and fax.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
