POSITION SUMMARY:
The Drug Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing medication management operations to ensure the safe efficient and compliant availability of medications throughout the facility. This role coordinates inventory management controlled substance oversight automated dispensing system (ADS) operations regulatory compliance and quality improvement activities related to medication storage distribution and documentation. The Drug Room Supervisor performs controlled substance-related functions under the oversight and delegated authority of the Director of Pharmacy (DOP). Ultimate accountability for controlled substance compliance security and regulatory adherence remains with the Director of Pharmacy in accordance with federal and state law.

Education:Associate Degree in Nursing or higher preferred.
Experience:Prior experience in medication management drug room operations or supervisory role preferred.
Certifications:BLS certification required.
Licenses: Current RN or LPN license in the applicable state required.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.
