Job Summary

We are seeking a Electrical Engineer to support the design integration and operation of SCADA and metering systems while working closely with external vendors meter suppliers and system integrators. This role serves as the technical owner and liaison to ensure vendor-delivered SCADA and metering solutions meet operational data accuracy cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical interface with SCADA metering and system integration vendors
Develop review and maintain SCADA and metering technical specifications and standards
Review vendor designs configurations and technical submittals for SCADA and metering systems
Coordinate integration of meters (AMI/AMR energy flow or process meters) with SCADA and data systems.
Support installation and maintenance of smart meters and metering devices.
Support configuration and validation of meter data acquisition time synchronization and data quality
System monitoring and troubleshooting Identify faults in automation systems perform diagnostics and ensure minimal downtime.
Gather operational data from SCADA and metering systems to support analytics and regulatory compliance.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and commissioning activities
Verify SCADA functionality including HMI graphics alarms trends reports and meter data visualization
Ensure SCADA networks and metering systems are secure against cyber threats and meet reliability standards.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity safety and regulatory requirements
Coordinate issue resolution enhancements and system upgrades with vendors
Maintain system documentation and support operational handover to operations and maintenance teams
Project support: Work with respective engineers on upgrades expansions and integration of new technologies into SCADA

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Computer Engineering or related field
Experience with SCADA platforms (e.g. Ignition Zenon MircoScada X EcoStruxure Wonderware or similar)
Experience working with metering systems (e.g. energy flow or process meters)
Proven experience coordinating with vendors contractors or system integrators
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus DNP3 OPC UA IEC 61850 Ethernet/IP Kepware) are metering protocols.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings network diagrams and functional specifications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in utilities energy or industrial infrastructure environments
Familiarity with AMI/AMR systems meter data management systems (MDMS) and SCADA systems
Knowledge of ICS/OT cybersecurity standards and best practices
Experience with FAT/SAT testing commissioning and system cutover

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical communication and vendor coordination skills
Detail-oriented with strong validation and testing capabilities
Analytical approach to data accuracy reliability and system performance
Ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities effectively
