Job Description: Manager Data & Technology
Role Overview
The Manager Data & Technology is responsible for leading data transformation initiatives building scalable analytics solutions and enabling data-driven decision-making for clients. This role bridges business needs media performance and technology by designing robust data pipelines dashboards and advanced analytics models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of automated reporting solutions reducing manual reporting efforts and significantly improving reporting efficiency and turnaround time.
- Design build and maintain ETL processes using SQL to clean standardize and integrate data from multiple media platforms (e.g. Facebook Ads Google Ads TikTok Ads Twitter Ads DV360) and site analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics) into cloud-based data warehouses such as Google BigQuery.
- Develop and manage interactive dashboards using Looker Studio and Power BI to deliver actionable insights for clients including:
- Plan Budget vs. Actuals
- Overall and weekly performance tracking
- Audience and creative performance analysis
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks using SQL Google Cloud Platform (including DataPlex) and BI tools to ensure data accuracy consistency and standardized naming conventions across campaigns and URLs.
- Build and manage Competitive Intelligence Monitoring systems by transforming social media and YouTube activity metrics into estimated media spending using industry benchmarks (e.g. CPM CPE) enabling clients to assess competitors market presence.
- Lead the development of advanced analytics solutions including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) using SQL and R to analyze channel effectiveness identify diminishing returns and optimize budget allocation.
- Translate complex data outputs into clear insights and visualizations through tools such as R Shiny ensuring accessibility for both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Partner closely with media strategy and client teams to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and client needs.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in analytics data engineering and reporting.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms particularly Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in BI and visualization tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI.
- Experience working with media and digital marketing data.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques including Marketing Mix Modeling.
- Experience with R (including R Shiny) is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving stakeholder management and communication skills.
