Radiologic Technology
The Radiologic Technologist I performs diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. This role supports operating room inpatient and emergency imaging needs while ensuring patient safety image quality and adherence to radiation protection standards.
8-hour shifts
Evening shift coverage
Weekends and holidays may be required as operationally needed
No on-call requirement
No floating requirement
Produce diagnostic radiographic images by accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors based on individual patient needs.
Operate radiographic equipment for routine portable and operating room procedures.
Perform portable imaging in patient rooms operating rooms and emergency settings.
Restrict radiation exposure using proper collimation and shielding techniques.
Correctly identify and label images with patient and procedural information.
Process and prepare radiographic images using available imaging systems.
Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist providers during contrast procedures as needed.
Maintain a clean organized and safe imaging environment.
Assist patients with positioning transfers and mobility during imaging procedures.
Complete imaging documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform administrative duties related to scheduling patient instruction record maintenance and image filing.
Adapt care delivery to meet the needs of diverse patient populations including age-specific cultural language and accessibility considerations.
Comply with departmental policies radiation safety standards and organizational competencies.

Ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs.
Ability to push/pull a minimum of 10 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours per shift).
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Completion of required clinical training and ARRT eligibility

Active state Radiologic Technologist license
Eligibility for the ARRT National Registry and ability to successfully pass the examination
