Centurion is proud to be the provider ofcomprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking aFull-time Director of Infection Control (Registered Nurse)to join our Regional Office team inSpringfield Illinois.This is a remote/traveling position. Candidates must reside in Illinois and live a commutable distance to our regional office for meetings and sites. Weekly travel will vary week by week -- 1x/week up to 5x/week as needed.
TheInfection Control Director (Registered Nurse)oversees the operations of the infection prevention epidemiology and relevant safety of incarcerated individuals in a correctional setting. This person identifies as promptly as possible patients and staff who have acquired infection and maintain a register of all notified coordinate and implement our Infection Control Program. This person ensures compliance with isolation techniques and procedures to provide optimum care for patients.
Qualifications
- APIC Certification; certification in Infection Control preferred
- 1-3 years experience providing nursing care in a public health environment or acute care setting with a focus on infection prevention and control
- Clear/Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with staff and institutional administration
- Computer skills required include Microsoft Office
- Corrections experience preferred
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
