The Role:

The Software Engineerserveas the bridge between SoftwareDesign(Nav & Vision)and the technical execution of software programs(Safety AMRS) updates and features. Producers are heavily involved in design efforts through creation ideation and partnership. Producers partner with Design Product and Software Services to ensureARC AMRsProgram alignment on timelines and deliverables.

Level Expectation:

Intermediate level professional requiring independent judgment and decision-making on significant matters as well as experience and or specialized training typically obtained through a specialized course of academic instruction.

Expertise:

  • Demonstratesverygood understanding of the processes and procedures relevant toownwork area with the ability to exercise decision-making skills sufficient toidentifyand propose solutions to leadership. Understands different areas of their function and how the operations of their area relate to others.
  • Identifiesand corrects non-routine problems in existing systems and processes through independent judgment.
  • Independentlyidentifiesand appliesappropriate companypolicies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Works under general supervision with limited guidance and direction.Determinesan appropriate courseof action within broad guidelines and can handlenearly everystandard or typical request independently.

Complexity:

  • Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determineappropriate action.
  • Applies learned techniques to drive the solution to a problem which typically will involve coordinating and integrating efforts of a diverse team of colleagues.
  • Engages in daily interactions with subordinates and/or peers from other functional groups. These interactions typically involve the exchange or presentation of information. Required to collaborate with teammembers1-2 levels above.
  • Adapts communication style to reach agreementinown area in situations of moderate complexitydemonstratesflexibility and ability to compromise.

Scope and Impact

  • Handles a range of moderate scope problems that arefrequentlyroutine but may vary requiring analysis ofvarious factors. Follows through ondifficult situationsand is expected to see through resolution.
  • Proposes new initiatives and delivers solutions driving cross team efforts. Recommends opportunities for process improvement to leadership & proactivelyanticipatesneeds withinownarea.
  • Employees impact is typically within their immediate work area and occasionally across their function.
  • Responsible for the execution/develop of manufacturing controls. Work will be performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well asa high levelof independent judgment.

Responsabilities include:

  • New program implementation/execution (SOR prep forecasting controls/robotics design equipment build/run-off and buyoff)
  • Design construction integration plant installation successful launch and continuous improvement
  • Maintaining awareness of new controls technologies (PLC HMI networks robot vision)of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
  • Managing deliveries to program timing milestones
  • Providing project report outs to senior management
  • Strong skills in TIA Portal V19MQTTBroker VDA 5050 protocol Python V3.9 and Docker Software.
  • Existing program/site support (troubleshooting etc.)
  • Providing technical direction to less experiencedcontrolsengineers
  • Designing and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems
  • Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Systems Software mechatronic electrical and electronic Engineers.

  • English: Advanced Intermediate (Conversational)

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years in controls knowledge of automation software developer intermediate/advanced knowledge of Python.

  • On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday)

  • Travel: This position is required to travel
