Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Operational Planner to join our Planning and Production Team in Columbus MS.
The main mission of this role is to Identify analyze & solve recurrent technical issues not directly manageable by the operators & FLM (First Line Manager). Provide an E2E view at shop floor level within the production team. - Accompany to production team. Achieve optimum of effort and work results through planning production control and management of products and the design of processes. Achieve the expected Industrial Excellence targets within his area by ensuring adherence and continuous improvement of operational process.

Its here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your Challenges:
Computer Related: 50%
Release and control of production orders to the production floor by schedule via SAP.
Issuing parts tracking and reporting all shortages.
Setting up and imputing data on Excel spreadsheets for reporting shortages and KPIs.
Monitoring and processing Quality Note tasks and completing in timely manner.
Researching and troubleshooting production order and parts issues.
Organizing and Reporting: 25%
Coordination between all supporting departments to meet schedule.
Attend all assigned meetings for production status.
Configuration and Control: 25%
Control of work orders and material removal from aircraft for configuration changes (CRF).
Control of consumption of the network in SAP.

Your Boarding Pass:
Required:
Must be currently local to Columbus MS area
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum of two (2) years experience
Experience operating within an integrated manufacturing system is desirable such as SAP.
MS Office skills especially MS Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Related college level studies may be substituted for experience.
Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
Effective and professional verbal and written communication
Knowledge with material requirement planning systems
Knowledge with SAP systems
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English
Ability to use mainframe and PC computers and associated hardware and software (MS Office especially Excel and Word) SAP MRP system (Module MM PP Outlook).
A strong knowledge of technical terms.
Knowledge of aircraft parts and documentation
Preferred:
Prior experience with Airbus Helicopters highly preferred

Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on the computer. Daily
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. No travel required
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
