This position is for a future business benefits will be provided by the Engineer - 1st Class is a highly skilled licensed professional responsible for the operation maintenance and repair of complex mechanical systems such as boilers HVAC/Mechanical units and electrical equipment within a large federal facility requiring extensive knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment with a high level of autonomy and oversight over junior engineers; Engineer - 1st Class considered the most senior level of stationary engineer within the facility. Responsible for ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard in accordance to industry state and federal regulations. This position requires union Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:Perform as leads for all shifts and as first responder to equipment emergencies performing and managing maintenance operating complex building systems and ensuring safety for 24-hour monitoring and operation of HVAC boilers chillers and utility plant equipment Acts as a first responder to stationary equipment failures and implements safety and/or oversee maintenance staff and vendors performing repairs on complex mechanical and electrical operations meet safety environmental and building codes. Directs the work of junior technicians or maintenance staff for all shifts. Other duties as required by the Program Manager and/or contract experience working with:Operating and maintaining all classes pressures and temperatures of steam and water boilers and steam-driven machinery.
