Job Summary

Were seeking someone to join our team as the NA Lead of Risk & Control in Shared Services Banking Operations (SSBO) to provide oversight of risk functions on behalf of SSBO in NA.

This is a VP level position within the Shared Services Banking Operations Risk & Control team. The NA Lead of Risk and Control is responsible for the documentation measurement analysis and mitigation of operational risk. This will be accomplished through the oversight and execution of a range of activities such as process and control documentation and testing; ensuring supervisory procedures are in place; reviewing compliance with firm policies and regulatory expectations; analyzing key risk metrics; and documenting and executing remediation plans. The Co-Lead will generally perform these risk and control framework responsibilities in collaboration with functional process owners in operational areas across SSBO.

What you will do in this role:
- Hands-on experience with using quantitative (metrics) and qualitative tools (e.g. process narratives and flows) to assess areas of risk and identify risk mitigation options and shape the risk agenda.
- Experience applying risk management precepts such as separation of duties information security disciplines and supervisory reviews.
- Strong analytical skills including root cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across all levels.
- Good project and modelling skills to develop business process documentation and prepare management reports using PowerPoint.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills and experience including strong interpersonal skills to build cross-divisional relationships.
- Ability to deliver on plans complete next steps and resolve issues in a timely manner.

What youll bring to the role:

  • College degree (BSc or BA) preferably in accounting economics finance statistics or related disciplines or equivalent.
  • Broad understanding across multiple processes systems and markets in addition to detailed subject matter expertise of various key products/processes; as well as an understanding of the Firm operations market landscape relevant topics and development.
  • Sound risk and control mindset and excellent judgement without compromising control; ability to priorities against competing demands and prioritization asks.
  • Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to translate complex working processes workflows risk related analysis and impact into clear tailored communications across stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills to build cross-divisional relationships.

Salary range for the position: $125000 - $185000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
