Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Help with the month-end close process (currently 15 business days but help implement processes to reduce close time)
- Identify bottlenecks in the accounting close process and work with the team to eliminate
- Assist with general accounting operations including:
- GL review and reconciliations
- Account clean-up and balance sheet integrity
- Journal entries and accruals
- Support preparation for the 2025 financial statement audit (2024 audit recently completed)
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for leadership
- Review and strengthen accounting policies documentation and internal controls
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong month-end close leadership experience
- Audit management/working with audit firms/PBC lists
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working within an ERP environment (QuickBooks)
- Specifically billing collections/reimbursements contractual adjustments revenue adjustments medicare etc.
- Solid understanding of:
- Revenue recognition
- Inventory accounting
- Lease accounting
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives particularly reducing close timelines
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- DME rental business or related regulated environments preferred but not required
- Prior audit experience (public accounting or audit management)
- Exposure to high-volume billing or recurring rental revenue models
- CPA strongly preferred
