Job Summary
Shipping and Receiving Technician
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Position Type: Temporary
The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for receiving shipping storage and distribution of finished products materials and supplies within the facility. This position works independently with limited supervision to meet operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Receive process and deliver inbound shipments
Prepare package and ship outbound materials including hazardous materials
Maintain accurate filing systems and generate receiving discrepancy reports
Utilize company freight carrier computerized shipping systems
Maintain records and location files for all parts and materials
Help maintain proper inventory of departmental supplies
Identify label store pick up and deliver materials as required
Distribute incoming materials appropriately
Operate forklifts pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently
Communicate work progress issues and updates to management
Follow all safety policies and promote a safe work environment
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
Qualifications
Forklift experience required
Shipping and receiving experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Commitment to safety procedures
