About IPSD

Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. Job Summary:

Are you ready to play a crucial role in a dynamic team at Caterpillar inSchertz Texas As aLogistics Coordinator IIyoullbe at the heart of ourlogisticsoperations supporting the team in ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your key responsibilities will include accurately recording and processing inventory adjustments using ourstate-of-the-arttools and software all whilemaintaininga safe work environment.

In this exciting role you will report to section managers and collaborate across various departments to meet both customer and company demands. What you will do:

  • Deliver pick& tag move and remove materials accurately and efficiently
  • Operate PIT equipment ( tuggers pack mulesetc.) to move materials within the facility
  • PerformPLEXtransactions
  • UtilizePLEXknowledge for daily tasks
  • Assistwith inventory management and accuracy
  • Load and off-load materials on trailers
  • Ensure received and delivered materials meet quality standards
  • Submit andassistwith the resolution of Continuous Improvement Cards
  • Assistin problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments
  • Handle shipping receiving and invoice verification for inventory accuracy
  • Efficiently deliver and remove materials
  • Follow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions
  • Report to Section Managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands
  • Train andassistnew team members as needed
  • Occasionallyparticipatein training and development
  • Perform any other assigned duties

What you will have:

  • Minimum of4months experienceconducting warehouse and/orlogisticsjob functionsor industry certification
  • Abilityto work well with others
  • Ability to read write and interpret documents in English
  • Intermediateexperience withcomputers and with inventory management software
  • Previousexperience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures

What would make you a top candidate:

  • Previousexperience and/or certification in operating forklifts tugger and/or other power equipment
  • Previousexperience working ina logistics/warehouseenvironment supporting assembly of products
  • Ability to research inventorylocatematerial and perform inventory transactions

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations
  • Ability tolift upto 35 lbs.

Additional Information:

  • Weekend Day Shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Weekend day shift will receive a shift premium of 11%
