Job Summary
Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Alconbury near Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 37.5hrs
Job Responsibilities:
Performing a variety of laboratory assays following standard procedures and study protocols
Critical review of processes and study plans suggesting changes where appropriate
Reviewing own work for overall accuracy timeliness completeness and soundness of technical judgment
Maintaining study documentation alongside client and regulatory expectations
Use of LIMS software
Contributing to wider method development and validation projects
Maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in relevant life sciences subject eg: Biololgy Microbiology Biomedical science or relevant laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a fast paced regulated laboratory setting understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and study protocols
Worked to regulatory standards such as GLP
Be able to motivative and influence others to ensure timely delivery of high quality results and use own experiences to help in training of junior team members
Experience in troubleshooting problems and informing appropriate channels for the reporting of issues
Additional Job Standards:
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Able to effectively communicate throughout the lifecycle of a study with peers and study management
Be highly motivated to produce high quality work against regulatory expectations

This role is to focus on animal metabolism while also supporting a range of other study types including biodegredation dermal penetration environmental fate and plant metabolism. This will give you great exposure in working with different product lines and provide you with a wider skill set and experience.
