Job Summary
Purpose Statement: The role of the NPI Engineer is to initiate and provide guidance to the design development troubleshooting and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes for new product using classical manufacturing engineering skills. An NPI Engineer has a high degree of knowledge and understanding of one or more critical manufacturing processes.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Initiate and guide the design development troubleshooting and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes for new products.
- Execute and monitor new product introduction builds delivering world-class user experiences through optimal manufacturing solutions
- Provide regular progress reports on product readiness to stakeholders and drive year-on-year improvements in Key Performance Indicators.
- Engage with customers on site coordinate their visits for first build onsite and lead APQP activities.
- Review quotes for accuracy support quote to actual gap analysis and work in tandem with Program Leadership on schedule customer commitments and communication.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering is required; a Bachelors degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
