Job Summary
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op located in our Libertyville IL site.
Reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist Engineering Team with time studies reviewing documentation drawings and CAD
- Assist in writing working instructions check list and other documents related to manufacturing equipment
- Help research and recommend support equipment required for continuous production
- Help design and monitor Engineering DOE (Design Of Experiment) projects
- Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior undergrad student pursuing Mechanical Engineering major
- 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks) experience
- Lean/Six Sigma helpful
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Highly collaborative creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Co-Op Program Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the assignment term
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
