Job Description Summary
Lead Engineer Cabling & Integration will leverage his or her engineering and leadership skills to develop design packages that relate to the upgrade or retrofit of gas or steam turbines and generator accessories. They will mainly focus on the design integration of electrical and instrumentation systems with GE Vernova control hardware for gas turbine steam turbine and generator accessory systems. They will work in collaboration with other lead engineers and technical leads to develop innovative designs that will aid in defining the E&I modifications required on different accessory systems such as lube oil Ventilation Haz Gas Inlet & Exhaust etc. The individual is expected to execute projects of varying complexity both in ITO and OTR stages under the guidance of senior engineers and TLs within the team. They shall also provide necessary outage support and own ER and NCR cases originating from all post-COD units. This role requires strong engineering and technical skills and the resourcefulness to work with cross-functional teams situated around the world to execute large and complex projects with a sharp focus on on-time delivery and world-class quality.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor the Cabling team members in the analysis design test and/or integration of Cabling and Integration in Plant and Accessories systems sub-systems and components that meet cost compliance safety and schedule requirements through a culture of planning and project management for all assigned projects. Ensure work is executed in accordance with GE Vernova design practices and quality procedures while influencing and contributing to their improvement.
- Own & execute task from different workstreams such as PLM OTR work SDRs ERs NCRs etc that relates to services engineering.
- Responsible for developing innovative engineering solutions for Gas/Steam/Generator accessory systems meeting all customer CTQs and GE Vernova design guidelines.
- Develop detailed instrumentation schematic wiring and conduit arrangement drawings/BOM to support proposed fluids or mechanical system upgrade or modifications anticipated on a project.
- Working knowledge of applicable national & international codes/Standards/directives such as IEC NEC CSA IECEx ATEX etc.
- Interpret the scope of the project and develop wiring loop instrumentation and schematic diagrams deploying electrical design principles to improve the overall system performance.
- Develop or strongly support standardization and/or cost-out efforts to improve the competitiveness of GE Vernova product and service offerings.
- Provide support to address field issues as required.
- Take an active role in the continuous improvement of processes procedures and deliverables.
- Contribute towards annual team priorities and initiatives.
- Effectively interact with other GE Vernova customers and suppliers as well as with internal GE Vernova functions such as sourcing drafting systems engineering and project management.
Required Qualifications
- BE/B. Tech. Electrical Engineering or higher from an institute of repute
- Minimum 8 years experience in the design of E&I systems related to industrial gas or steam turbines and generators
- Working knowledge of local and global electrical codes and standards especially around installations of instrumentation in hazardous environments.
- In dept know-how working with EPLAN as electrical engineering tool for Instrumentation signal flow diagrams cable planning elementaries etc.
- Willingness and ability to work on new E&I systems and develop expertise on both GE Vernova and Alstom-built machines.
- Effective time management and multitasking ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Field experience on GE Vernova and Alstom Gas/Steam Turbines and Generators.
- Ability to learn different Gas Steam & Generator upgrade offerings.
- Global mindset with a willingness to understand different cultures and work collaboratively.
- Experience in cable pulling instrument calibration knowledge of experience will be an added plus.
- Strong technical aptitude including on applicable engineering tools and systems.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- BB / Green Belt certification (GE Vernova only).
