Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with optical fiber based products (fusion splicing connector inspection/cleaning/installation fiber cable handling)
- Ability to perform optical measurements using manual and automated test systems
- Data processing and basic data analysis skills
- Hands-on technical skills with test and measurement equipment
- Ability to follow established testing procedures and schedules
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to pull and maneuver heavy-duty optical fiber cables
- Ability to work for short periods in extreme temperatures (-22 F to 104 F)
- Good eyesight and ability to distinguish colors

- Basic troubleshooting and failure analysis experience
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up and verify performance of fiber optic testing systems
- Configure and test product samples for environmental and mechanical testing
- Perform and document optical measurements following defined procedures
- Program and operate environmental chambers and test equipment
- Track testing progress conduct basic data analysis and draft test reports
- Assist with troubleshooting failure mode analysis and maintaining a safe organized lab environment
Requirements:
- High School diploma (minimum)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to complete assignments accurately and on schedule
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work confidently in a technical environment
