Job Summary

Position Summary:

Level Three: Level three maintenance technicians work under minimal supervision to perform all necessary preventive maintenance corrective maintenance and emergency to keep machinery operational. Performs major repairs rebuilds and projects in coordination with supervisor or manager. Demonstrating the ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics while serving as either a mechanical or technical SME. Typically 6-10 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Correctly interpret work order.
  • Work in a team environment i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories (critical parts supplies etc.)
  • Maintain and repair industrial electrical circuits.
  • Ability to fabricate and install guards steps handrails platforms etc.
  • Ability to enter and schedule work orders
  • Ability to identify and implement preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform all levels of facility maintenance tasks
  • Mentor and train level 1 and level 2 maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by lead supervisor or manager.

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate ability to use all hand tools wrenches etc.
  • Intermediate ability to use all power tools
  • Intermediate ability to use diagnostic tools (amp probes voltage meters)
  • Intermediate ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers calipers comparators
  • Intermediate ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret work instructions and intermediate prints and dimensions

Experience & Education

  • 6 to10 years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
  • GED or High School diploma required

Working Conditions:

  • Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment
  • Constant exposure to moderate noise
  • Working conditions may include small spaces dust fumes odors hot / cold temperatures inside / outside noise vibration standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to work any shift including overtime weekends and holidays if scheduled.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to stand walk bend squat climb kneel twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
  • Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping pushing and pulling of materials.
  • Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane boom lift and manlift.
  • Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
