Associate Casino / Employment Litigation
About the Role:
As an Associate in the Casino / Employment Litigation practice you will work closely with senior attorneys to evaluate cases develop litigation strategy and represent clients through all phases of defense litigation.
You will handle employment-related disputes administrative proceedings and internal investigations for casino and hospitality clients. This role provides hands-on exposure to depositions motion practice mediations arbitrations and trials. You will play a visible role in case development client communication and strategic decision-making.
This position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced defense environment and wants to deepen expertise in employment law while gaining substantial litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy
- Represent casino and hospitality clients in employment litigation administrative proceedings and internal investigations
- Conduct legal research and draft correspondence pleadings discovery responses and motions
- Prepare for and conduct depositions
- Prepare for and participate in mediations arbitrations and trials
- Assist in preparing settlement agreements motions and briefs
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required)
- 2 4 years of experience in defense litigation
- Casino or hospitality industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of Employment Law
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation practice
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant legal software
- Experience with NetDocs and Time Matters is helpful
