Position Description
As an associate in our Government Contracts practice you will be counselling government contractors of all sizes on all legal aspects of government contracting with a focus on often complex compliance regulatory and transactional matters. You will be part of a dynamic and collegial team with opportunities to work directly with clients and to expand and shape your own practice.
Experience with a broad range of regulatory compliance (e.g. FAR/DFARS) matters and drafting analysing and negotiating agreements (e.g. teaming agreements prime and subcontract agreements license agreements other transaction authority agreements and/or grant and cooperative agreements) is essential.
This position can expect to have direct interaction with clients and responsibility for managing matters independently.
Qualifications
- Must be a team player who can work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 5 years of experience in Government Contracts
- Admission (or waiver) to Virginia Bar
